Visitors

Some friends of ours from Cleveland came down to visit us last weekend. They were some of our closest friends while we were living in Cleveland and we spent a lot of time at their house the four years we lived there. They came down on a Thursday afternoon and we spent the weekend together. We had so much fun with them.

They brought down their Wii and we had fun playing tennis, bowling, boxing, and a little racing.

This is Jessica and I playing one of the racing games. I was laughing so hard tears were rolling down my cheeks. I never could quite get the hang of how to drive the little cow or whatever it was I was riding on. I think I lost to every person I raced.

This is Brad and Coby boxing. I love it that Coby's tongue is sticking out of the side of his mouth and little Levi (that's him poking out behind Coby's shoulder) has his tongue out doing the same thing. You may have to enlarge the picture to see the tongue action!

This is Brad and I boxing each other. I'm getting ready to do an upper-cut with my right arm and Brad's not even protecting himself! I was sore for days after boxing and really worked up a sweat. I've thought about purchasing a Wii just to get some cardio in every day. It may also help with my anger management problems!

On Friday, while Brad was at work, Jacob and I took our visitors to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. Here's Jacob and I outside the museum. It's sort of a neat place to go and see how they make the bats. I think, while living in Louisville, it's a must-do. When else are you going to see how the Louisville slugger bats are made?

Here's a picture of Jacob getting ready to run the bases inside the bat museum.

On Saturday it wasn't nice outside so we decided to go to Oxmoor Mall and let the kids play on the giant ship they have inside. This is Spencer, Brynn, and Levi playing on the ship. It was a nice break and I think the kids enjoyed their time at the mall. Here's Jacob playing on the slide. I think he really enjoyed finally being big enough (sort of) to do some of the big-kid kinds of things!
In all, we had a great weekend spending time with friends. We played a lot of Rook, ate a lot of good food, laughed a lot, and enjoyed each other's company. Definitely a fun weekend. Who's up for another?!

Looks like fun. We thought about getting a Wii with our taxes.
