4 months!

The end of May Eva turned 4 months old!  She went to the doctor for her vaccinations and to be weighed and measured.  She sure is a petite thing.  She only weighed 11 lb. 2 oz. and was 24 1/4 inches long.  She's about the 35-50th percentile for height, but about the 5-10 percentile for weight.

 She sure didn't like the shots AT ALL and cried for a good little bit even afterward.  Later she developed a little bit of a fever and really just wanted held and comforted for about two days...which is a little hard to do when you have 2 older brothers to look after as well.

 These boys sure love their little sister and love trying to make her laugh and smile.

 

I love the picture above as it seems Eva is the only one who really cooperated.  But this is definitely the stage and personalities of the other two!

 We decided to get out the ExerSaucer to give Eva somewhere to play instead of always laying on the floor.

Taken June 5th!

She is trying to grow up so quickly!  She doesn't sit for extended periods of time, but she can sit unassisted for a minute or two.  Last night Brad caught her up on all fours with her tummy off the ground!  What?!  Crazy girl, she's not even 5 months old yet (barely 4 1/2 months).

Eva is as sweet as can be as long as she has a full tummy and is being held.  She will do okay playing on the floor for brief periods of time, same goes for playing in her bouncy chair, or ExerSaucer.  She also started baby oatmeal (that I make homemade!) about a week ago and she eats it twice a day, two teaspoons.  She is a great little eater.  She has been in 'baby boot camp' for a little bit now so her naps are doing MUCH better.  We started last night on night time baby boot camps and she went 11 hours between feedings!  She did wake up in the middle and cry, but my goal is that she will go at least 8 hours between feedings without waking and crying.  Eva is a joy and is so smiley...I love it! 

Branson

With a very small baby we decided to nix the big family vacation this year and we chose instead to drive an hour south/southeast from our home to Branson, Missouri!  I rented a great cabin that had the boys FAVORITE thing:

These two love, Love, LOVE hot tubs!  Levi is still asking to go back to Branson (we went the middle of May) because he wants to go to the hot tub :)

We spent two nights in Branson and about 1 1/2 days.  The first full day, we took the kids miniature golfing.  Jacob has been asking to go for awhile.

Levi and Eva didn't enjoy it nearly as much.  It was hot out and Levi just wanted to go back to the cabin.  So I ended up going back inside with Levi and Eva while Brad finished playing with Jacob.  From there, we decided to go do bumper boats and go-karts.

 In the beginning, Jacob didn't want to do the boats and Levi didn't want to do the go-karts, but after watching each other, they both switched and tried something new.

 This is what Eva and I did while the boys were boating/go-karting. 

 I am not in many pictures because there just aren't enough arms/hands to do everything when you have 3 kids.  It's interesting how quickly #3 outnumbers things!  Eva did awesome!  I was able to hold her most of the time and make her fall asleep in my arms or she would watch what was going on.  Considering she was only 3months old when we went on the trip, she did great.

 For the second night, my parents came to visit and Mom got in the hot tub with the kids.

The second day we went down to the Landing in Branson and walked around the boys got to ride on a little train that they loved.

We had a great vacation, but it was definitely exhausting.  I am glad we chose to only go an hour from home and only go 2 nights...Brad and I were WORN OUT by the time our vacation was over. 

Pre-K Graduation

Mid- May Jacob graduated from pre-kindergarten!  He attended for a semester at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.  We changed schools in the middle of the year and it was probably one of the best decisions we have made.  We LOVE RidgeKids!  Jacob had a fabulous semester and he's definitely ready for kindergarten!

 

They started off the graduation with a little slide show of the kids with pictures of them as a baby and them now.  So cute!

 

This was all of the kids in the 3 classes at RidgeKids that attended on two different rotations.  Jacob is in the middle looking at the boy to his left.  I think he had more fun at the graduation than many of the other kids.  He set such a good example for the other kids (said with much sarcasm!)...he even sat down on the risers while waiting to get his diploma!

Jacob and his teachers, Ms. Mary and Ms. Cyndi.  He really loved these ladies and told me he didn't want to go to kindergarten, he wanted to go to that school forever!  I am so happy with the decision we made to switch him schools.  He thrived, the teachers loved him, and it made him ready and excited for kindergarten (although he does wish it were at the same school).  Can't believe he'll be in kindergarten this fall!
