Cardinals Game

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to a Springfield Cardinal's game. They are the minor league team that is just below the St. Louis Cardinals. Anyway, we dressed the kids in their sportswear (we don't have a baseball shirt for Jacob so football had to do) and took them out to the ballgame! We were able to go with my parents and one of my sisters and her family. It was lots of fun. Jacob really enjoyed playing with my Dad and Braden (his cousin) at the game.Brad had a good time cheering on our winning team.
And somehow through it all, Levi was able to catch a nap. Gotta love being a baby!
The night was great and we are ready to go to another game. You know, it's America's favorite past time :)

4 Months

So here's the little guy at three months (more for my record keeping than anything).

Levi - 3 months old

Levi's last two months have been full of lots of changes. He went to the doctor yesterday for his four month check up. He was about two weeks late for that appointment due to our move and the doctor's busy schedule. But we made it and here are his stats:
13 lb. 12 oz. - 25th percentile
25 3/4 inches long - 75th percentile
Levi - 4 months old
Levi gained about 3 1/2 pounds in the past two months, which I think is really good considering how much he spits up. For those of you privileged enough to get to be around Levi, you'll know just how much this can be at times. Sometimes I wonder if he's kept anything down at all, but apparently he's growing despite the puke problem. He's also doing better at sleeping at night. In the beginning, Levi did great and then he seemed to regress. However, he's gone about 6 hours at a time for the last week or so. I'm really looking forward to when he sleeps all the way through the night consistently, but I'll take 6 hours for now.

Some things Levi has been doing lately: He loves to talk and laugh. He and Jacob will sit at the kitchen table (Levi in his bouncy chair) and just laugh at nothing. Jacob can really get him going. I'm not sure either of them knows what they are laughing about, but they enjoy it just the same.
Jacob & Levi playing (Levi's about to get Jacob!)

Levi has been rolling over from his tummy to his back, but hasn't yet mastered the back to the tummy roll yet. He can actually sit up a little bit on his own (sorry, no pictures of that yet) and he loves it when you hold his hands and let him jump on your lap.
Two sleepy boys...this doesn't happen often.

Levi took a trip to Canada recently to attend his Great-Grandpa's funeral. He was a champ on the 29 hour drive and the whole week we were in Canada. He slept well, ate well, and was very well behaved. He also learned another new trick:

Levi balancing in my Uncle Ken's hand.

I can't believe it's already been more than four months since Levi joined our family. We have sure enjoyed getting to know Levi and his super sweet personality. Love you Levi and keep up the good work growing! (Jacob better watch out...Levi will have him in the weight department in no time with the way he's growing!)

I'm BAAAACK

So, I've been gone for awhile now. Boy is it tough not having Internet (or really slow Internet) for a couple of months when I'm used to using it every day for even little things like figuring out where the nearest __________ store is (you can fill in the blank with just about any store you'd like). Anyway, lots has happened in the last month or so. I'm not going to bore you with one huge post. Just know, Levi turned three months old...and then four months old. I go for his check up on Wednesday, so I'll post more about that later.

Brad turned 30-something years old and we celebrated by getting him a George Foreman grille and a gas grille for our new house. Oh yeah, we bought a new house. Well, it's new to us anyway. That's probably another post too, but for now we're just getting settled and I'd like to wait until we have a couple of more rooms completed before I post about that.

Last week the kids and I traveled to Canada for my Grandpa's funeral. Yeah, 29 hours in a car with two little ones, it was a blast! But, it was so good to see so much of my Dad's side of the family that I hadn't seen in years.

Brad has been busy working and getting things ready for us to move into our house. I just wanted to let you all know I'm here and I'll get back into blogging mode in the upcoming days/weeks.

Hope your summer has been a good one!
