Saturday at home: Our first blog

Our first attempt at blogging. Here we go!

Today was an unusualy Saturday, Brad never had to go in to work. We started our day by getting some chores done. Then, we went to Wal-Mart, probably the greatest store ever invented, and bought a new kiddy pool for Jacob. It's been so hot here that we thought Brad and Jacob might enjoy a dip in the pool. Wouldn't you know it, today it decided to cool off and rain. Hopefully soon we'll get to use the pool and post some pictures.

Speaking of the rain...we went to the movie rental store and got a movie. On the way home, Brad wanted to look at Rangers...the truck of his dreams. While we were looking, it started to rain. By the time we got home, the rain had ended. Actually, we drove south and it hadn't ever rained at our house. So, brilliant me, I decided we should go for a walk around our neighborhood. Halfway through our walk, it started to spit rain. Three-fourths of the way done our walk and it was really raining. So, we began to run. However, I was laughing so hard that I almost wet my pants and that makes it really hard to run. We made it home, both completely wet. The only one who stayed dry was Jacob because he was in his stroller, also in his carseat, so he was totally covered...lucky kid!
